Whew!!!
What a wait! Right from the day the doctor told us that Vidya might deliver any time after 22/11/07...... any bloody phone call, I'm tense! Hey its Vidya calling! No, my mom.... anything the matter? Its dad! he NEVER calls on my mobile.... and he's calling? That too NOW? Oh the tension! all you expectant dads out there, how the hell did you manage all this?!
At last, the day is here..... 29/11/2007.... the first tentative date of delivery of my kid- nay, our kid. Right from the day (31/03/07, precisely) we got to know that Vidya was pregnant, its been quite a wonderful journey! Yes, the stress is there, tensions never die and things come at us more pronounced as we're quite young to be parents; however, the elation of being a dad at 24-something, is awesome! Funny: You're now the 'mature dude' of your group; what a mighty leap, I say- from being the joker until not more than a year ago!
The baby- what grandiose plans we've made for the little one.... what pressure it'll have upon its arrival! I only hope we show the maturity and solidarity required to understand the kid, its aims, and encourage it in its strengths rather than trying to make it a clone- all you moms and dads out there, I need your support, and yes,
I AM GOING TO BE A DADDY!!!!! YEAH!
